The women of A Step Forward visited the exhibition “Cries for Help” at the Hadjikyriakos-Gikas Gallery of the @Hellenic American Union, presenting true-life accounts of people living on the margins of society. During the visit, there were several moments when the women related to the testimonies of people who, like themselves, have been forcibly displaced from their homeland, have experienced poverty, social exclusion, stigma, abuse and imprisonment.
Exposure to art, as Pablo Picasso said, “washes the dust off the soul of everyday life”.
