Women and children from MdM’s Open Accommodation Center “A Step Forward” visited the exhibition “Why Look at Animals? A Case for the Rights of Non-Human Lives” at the National Museum of Contemporary Art, participating in an immersive tour that blended art with reflection on ethics and coexistence.

As we explored the contemporary artworks, questions arose about the value, fragility, and visibility of life in all its forms. The exhibition highlighted the oppression of non-human animals, revealing unseen aspects of vulnerability and exploitation that also resonate with human experiences of marginalization and exclusion.

The experience opened a space for reflection on empathy, protection, and the right of all beings to coexist with dignity.
