The use by the visitor / user (hereinafter “user”) of the contents of the website https://astepforward.mdmgreece.gr, the owner, creator and holder of all rights of which is the Association “Doctors of the World – Greek Representation” (hereinafter “MDM”) requires the unconditional agreement with the following terms of use, which apply to all content, pages, graphics, images, photographs and files included in the website.

Therefore, the user must read these terms carefully before using the website and if he/she does not agree, he/she must not use the content. The user is requested to check the content of the website for possible changes. Continued use even after any changes means the user’s unconditional acceptance of these terms.

Copyright

The entire content of this website, including (but not limited to) texts, graphics, photographs, diagrams, illustrations and videos, is the intellectual property of Médecins du Monde and is protected by national and international copyright laws.

Logos, names, trademarks and logos included on the website belong to MdM and/or the persons mentioned as owners of the relevant rights on the website, and are protected in accordance with the applicable legislation on industrial and intellectual property.

Intellectual property works of third parties included in the website have been put up in good faith and for information purposes. It is understood that they will be removed if requested by the rights holders.

Licence of Use

Médecins du Monde encourages the private use of the content of its website for personal information, as well as use for educational or research purposes. Use within the context of a business, service or organization is not private use. For educational or research purposes only, the reproduction or storage of individual pages or data is permitted, provided that the origin of these pages or data from the website and the names of the authors (if they appear on the website) are mentioned and provided that the relevant industrial or intellectual property rights are not infringed in any way.

However, users should be aware that certain files or data may be the intellectual property of third parties (partner institutions, organisations, companies, etc. that may be indicated on the website) and cannot be used without the permission of these third parties.

MdM does not guarantee that the operations of the website or servers will be uninterrupted or error-free, free of viruses and similar elements, whether on the MdM website or on any other website or server through which its contents are transmitted. MdM does not in any way guarantee the correctness, completeness or availability of the contents, pages, services, options or their results. The cost of any corrections or services is borne by the visitor/user and in no case by MdM.

Protection of personal data

Doctors of the World, as a Data Controller, in accordance with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (hereinafter referred to as “GDPR” or “GDPR”) which comes into force on 25 May 2018, keeps a record of personal data, in full compliance with the applicable legislation.

These terms are formulated taking into account both the rapid development of technology, and in particular the Internet, and the existing – albeit not fully developed – web of legal regulations on these matters. In this context, any possible relevant regulation will be the subject of this section. In any case, MdM reserves the right to change the terms of protection of personal data after informing visitors/users and within the existing or potential legal framework. If a visitor/user does not agree with the terms of protection of personal data provided in this section, he/she must not use the services of this website.

The collection and processing of personal data is only carried out to the extent that it is deemed absolutely necessary for the purposes of supporting communication between Doctors of the World and visitors to its website, responding to any kind of request, informing and informing them about the programmes, actions and events of MdM.

According to the GDPR (Article 4), Personal Data means “any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter also referred to as “Data Subject”).

MDM collects the following data on a case-by-case basis: Name, surname, patronymic, mailing address, e-mail address, telephone number.

Newsletters

For the registration of the visitor/user to the mailing lists of the MdM newsletters, the following information is requested: Name / Company name – E-mail. The Network may keep a record of the recipients’ e-mail addresses for the purpose of sending informative messages other than newsletters, unless the recipient does not wish to do so. This information is never disclosed to third parties. The recipient of the Newsletters can be deleted from the file of e-mail addresses by sending an e-mail to info [at] mdmgreece.gr. MdM may delete any recipient without justification.

Links to other sites

MdM has no control over the availability, content, privacy policy, quality and completeness of the services of other websites and pages to which it refers via “links” or hyperlinks. Therefore, for any problem that may arise during your visit/use of these websites and pages, you should contact directly the respective websites and pages, which are responsible for the provision of their services. MdM should under no circumstances be considered as endorsing or accepting the content or services of the web sites and pages to which they link or as being linked to them in any other way.

Cookies

mdmgreece.gr may use cookies to identify the visitor/user of certain services and pages of the Network (e.g. newsletters). Cookies are small text files that are stored on the hard disk of each visitor/user and do not take note of any document or file from his/her computer. They are used to facilitate the access of the visitor / user regarding the use of specific services of astepforward.mdmgreece.gr for statistical purposes in order to determine the areas in which the services of the Network are useful or popular or for marketing purposes. The MdM website uses cookies for the following reasons: (a) Google Analytics Conducting surveys for statistical purposes and/or to improve the content and services of the website and/or to assess its effectiveness. (b) Social networking. Cookies that are placed by social networking website providers in order to allow the visitor to easily share the content of the website through these means. The visitor/user of astepforward.mdmgreece.gr can configure his/her server in such a way that it either warns him/her about the use of cookies in specific services of astepforward.mdmgreece.gr or does not allow the acceptance of the use of cookies in any case. In case the visitor / user of specific services and pages of astepforward.mdmgreece.gr does not wish to use cookies for identification, he/she cannot have further access to these services.

The processing of Personal Data (Article 6(1) GDPR) is permitted if it is based on at least one of the following: a) your consent; b) the performance of a contract to which you are a party or in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract; c) compliance by MDM as Data Controller with a legal obligation; d) the safeguarding of a vital interest of yours or another natural person; e) reasons of public interest; or f) the need to fulfil a legitimate interest of the Data Controller or a third party.

The Personal Data entered by visitors to the MdM website are processed in a manner compatible with the aforementioned purposes and are not disclosed to any third party, unless required by law or a court decision or requested by any governmental or regulatory authority, as well as when there is an explicit specific consent of the Data Subject to the disclosure of his/her personal data to third parties in any way.

With the declaration of consent, each Data Subject gives his/her consent to the collection, keeping and general processing of his/her personal data provided by MDM, after having been informed about the purpose of collection and processing, and for their protection.

Consent may be withdrawn at any time by means of a declaration to that effect and without prior notification to MdM.

Each Personal Data Subject also retains all the rights provided for by the GDPR, namely a) the right of access and information about his/her personal data held, b) the right to rectify his/her personal data to make them accurate, c) the right to erasure of his/her personal data if their processing and retention is no longer desirable or necessary, (d) the right to restriction of the processing of his/her personal data; (e) the right to the portability of his/her data and their transfer to another Data Controller through prior provision by the Data Controller in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format; and (f) the right to object to the processing of data and to decisions taken solely on the basis of automated processing.

The Organisation has the right to refuse the deletion request if the retention of the data is necessary for the establishment, exercise or support of its legal rights, as well as for the needs of compliance with tax, insurance or general legislation.

Visitors/users of the MdM website who are minors have access to the services of the Network only with the consent of their parents or guardians and are not obliged to submit their personal data. In the event that such information is submitted by minors, MdM shall delete the relevant information.

Applicable law and Final Terms

The above terms and conditions of use of the MdM website, as well as any modification thereof, are governed and supplemented by Greek law, the law of the European Union and the relevant international treaties. Any provision of the above terms that is contrary to the law shall automatically cease to be in force and shall be removed from these terms, without in any way affecting the validity of the other terms. The Courts of Athens shall have exclusive jurisdiction for any claim or dispute in general regarding the above terms and conditions of access to the MdM website.

The present constitutes the entire agreement between MdM and the visitor/user of its pages and services and is binding only on them. No modification of these terms will be taken into account and will not form part of this agreement unless it is expressed in writing and incorporated herein.
